How to apply for your New Zealand Tourist VISA with a Philippine passport

Queenstown, New Zealand

New Zealand is the home of the most delicious fresh milk I have tasted. This is of course based on my own experience but I highly encourage you to try it out. And ever since I've been to NZ, all I could think of is when can I come back. It's like it can really capture your heart.

Hobbiton

One of the things that I am sure almost everyone is thinking of when NZ comes up is the Middle Earth. Although it's not really in the middle of the earth, if you're quite familiar with the Lord of the Rings franchise, then you'd know that they shot a lot of scenes in NZ.

Some of my friends asked me, how did I get the tourist visa, or was it hard and I think the most important question that they asked was what were the requirements for it.

What you'll like about their visa process is that you can choose from different ways on how you can apply. Just a reminder, this guide is NOT a guarantee that you will be granted a visa, however, this can make your chances of obtaining a visa a little bit higher.

Guide for completing the application here

You or your authorized representative may submit your application to a Visa Application Centre (VAC). There are only 2 VACs in the Philippines, one in Manila and the other is in Cebu. You may check the address below.

                   MANILA
                   Mezzanine Floor
                   Unit M01
                   Ecoplaza Building
                   2305 Chino Roces Avenue Extension
                   Makati City

                   CEBU
                   9th Floor Keppel Centre
Samal Loop cnr. Cardinal Rosales Avenue
Cebu Business Park, Cebu City 6000

You would need to settle the receiving center fee. Php 825.00 for the Visa Application Centre and around Php 380-600.00 for the courier. You can pay in person via cash or card, or you may pay via Bank Transfer. Personally, it would be less of a hassle to just pay the fees in cash.
**Note that you do not need to pay for the immigration costs.

Once everything is ok, you have submitted the application form and paid the fees, the process will take no more than 24 days, usually. Should they need additional details from you, they will contact you directly.

When your VISA is approved, you will either receive your passport with the VISA attached or receive an email with your e-VISA.

Remember to always carry your VISA at all times when you are in New Zealand already or in any other country that you are going to visit. And most of all, ENJOY! :)

Let me know if you have questions :)
