I was invited by our friends from
The Foodie Station and
What to Eat PH to try and sample Kambingan ni Apong's dishes who specializes in Ilocano goat dishes and other local cuisines.
My memory of Kambing or Goat meat is that if it's cooked properly and well, it should taste good, tender, juicy and shouldn't have that fishy or slimy smell and/or taste. Kambingan ni Apong delivered just that, a well seasoned, tender goat meat (both for the Kaldereta and Adobo).

Kalderetang Kambing |
Adobong Kambing was my favorite! Right amount of meat to sauce ratio and the taste of the adobo was worth getting seconds! (or it's just that I really love adobo hehe)

Aside from their goat dishes, they offer the usual favorites of Pinoys. like Chicharong Bulaklak, Kare Kare and Crispy Pata!

Upclose :) |
The Krispy Pata is on point, juicy, tender meat underneath those really crunchy pork skin. Might not be advisable to those with certain medical conditions, but it is D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!

Another Filipino favorite, Kare Kare. I love this dish, I normally just put the sauce in my rice, get the meat then add a little bit of the shrimp paste to complete it.

Pork Sisig |
For those who's not a fan of pork, beef nor goat meat, you can always go for seafood, like this tasty fried milkfish.

Which one is your fave? |
For their dessert, they have Leche Flan and Ice cream!
|
Leche Flan that's just right. Not overly sweet. :) |
|
Ube Ice Cream. They have Cheese and Macapuno Cheese flavors too! |
After dinner, everyone was smiling and full from the very sumptuous meal that was served to us. It was a filling meal and what's surprising about it is that, it wouldn't break the bank dining at Kambingan ni Apong. Great staff and really good and quality food!
