Really good Takoyaki!

I haven't been to SM Center Las Pinas in awhile and I was surprised to see this new and interesting restaurant that replaced Dominoes (Sorry guys).

Osaka Takoyaki, as the name suggests, offers takoyakis as their flagship dish. Naturally, we got curious and had to try it out.

A takoyaki is a Japanese snack shaped like balls and filled with octopus (tako), pickled ginger, tempura scraps, and green onions. And of course we did order their takoyaki to give them a try.

Their Takoyaki Original priced at Php 150.00 is a real steal. It has 8 pieces of takoyaki and each one has real octopus bits in them (some takoyaki shops use squid :( ). We were really surprised that it tasted that good given the cheap price.

We also tried their other dishes, like their Okonomiyaki, Ramen, Gyoza and the like.

Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen Php 299.00

Squid and Pork Okonomiyaki - Php 270.00 (plus php 60.00 for additional cheese)

I was a bit weirded out by their Okonomiyaki with the egg on top of it. I really thought it was supposed to be inside the okonomiyaki mixture (or is this an extra egg?). If you want additional cheese though, I think it's not that worth it considering it's just 1 type of cheese and from the taste of it, you're better off buying a local cheddar cheese then putting it on the okonomiyaki. The taste was just ok but for the price, the serving is quite generous.

Spicy Gyoza - Php 180.00

It's just your regular gyoza with a spicy sauce :)

Ebi Gyoza - Php 230.00 (it's an ok dish for me)

Pork Kimuchi Yaki - Php 210.00 - Mama and Papa liked this one. (Their food kasi hehe)

Yakisoba (I think this is the curry flavored one I am not sure though) Php 250.00

Overall, we loved our dining experience with Osaka Takoyaki. They have good food,  good place and accommodating and courteous servers. I really hope that they keep up with the level of service and level of food quality that they send out. I might be back for more takoyakis in the future!
